Refrigerated Dryers

Refrigerated air dryers remove moisture and contaminants from compressed air by chilling the air to a temperature that causes the moisture present in the air to condense and form droplets. These droplets can be separated from the air stream and be discharged from the dryer. The dried air is then reheated to approximate ambient temperature as it exits the dryer into air system piping.

This type of dryer uses a refrigeration system, heat exchanger, separator, and drain to perform the drying operation and provide compressed air that is useful for a broad range of applications. Refrigerated dryers provide air that has a dew point of 38° - 50° F, depending on the model.

We also manufacture models to be used specifically with air compressors that cause the compressed air to be relatively hot – greater than 120° F. The compressed air that exits some compressors (commonly, reciprocating or piston-type compressors) can be very hot. These high inlet temperature dryers are designed to handle additional moisture that is present in very hot air, and they include components that are sized to handle the larger moisture load.

Regenerative Desiccant Dryers

Regenerative desiccant dryers are a means of providing dry compressed air for extremely moisture-sensitive applications, or for those in extremely cold environments. In applications where air system piping passes through extremely cold environmental conditions, nearly all water must be removed to avoid buildup of ice - and eventual blockage - inside air system piping.

These dryers use adsorption drying technology in a twin-tower dryer design to remove moisture and contaminants from compressed air. They use a heatless purge process for desiccant regeneration to deliver dry compressed air at –40° F dew point. The heatless purge process consumes little energy while reliable valve and switching components provide consistent, reliable performance, and long service life.

Compressed Air Filters

AccraFilter compressed air filters from PREMIER include a durable head, removable bowl, and replaceable element design. They can be used to protect air treatment equipment, placed within air system piping, or installed at the point-of-use to keep pneumatic equipment and air systems running smoothly.

Many element grades are available that can be used to coalesce liquids or compressor oil vapor carryover and remove harmful particulates. Grades are also available that can be used in high temperature applications, high pressure applications, or where odor removal is required.
